We’ve run the operations we now get asked to fix.

Prodro exists because we’ve seen what happens when businesses start with the solution rather than the problem: processes that no longer make sense, systems that don’t talk, administration that keeps growing, and technology that promised efficiency and created more work.

We’ve dealt with the same problems from inside the businesses that had them.

Built around operational judgement

Our starting point isn’t a preferred technology or a predetermined answer. It’s the operation itself.

Prodro is an operations and technology company. We work with businesses where growth has created complexity: more systems, more handoffs, more administration, and more work nobody has stopped to question. We understand how the work happens, work out what needs to change, and then help make it happen.

  1. 1

    The operation first

We follow one workflow as it actually runs: who touches it, where it waits, what it costs.

  2. 2

    Then the intervention

Each finding resolves to one of six decisions. Stop and Simplify come up more often than Build.

  3. 3

    Then, sometimes, software

Only where the work needs it, and only after the process underneath it is worth keeping.

The people behind Prodro

Operational problems are rarely solved properly from one perspective. Process, people, systems, technology, customer experience and commercial performance are usually connected, and treating them as separate projects is how businesses end up with more work rather than less.

Kieran McCloud

Kieran

Kieran has spent his career building businesses and making complex ones work better.

His experience spans consumer, digital, property and technology-led services, combining commercial growth with the operating models, processes and technology needed to support it. He has built and exited a digital business, developed new propositions and revenue streams, and led businesses through rapid growth, acquisition, integration and significant operational change.

Much of that experience has been gained inside businesses where growth created complexity faster than the operation could absorb it. It has shaped a practical approach to transformation: understand how the business really works, simplify what does not need to be there, and use technology, automation and AI where they create measurable value.

At Prodro, Kieran leads strategy, commercial development and operations. He works across consultancy and new ventures, redesigning how organisations operate and turning recurring operational problems into software products when the existing options are not good enough.

Tom Davis

Tom

Tom has spent his career turning complex business processes into technology that works in the real world.

His experience spans software architecture, product development, cloud platforms and engineering leadership, taking products from initial concept and architecture through to production and long-term operation. He has built the engineering teams and practices behind those products as well as the technology itself.

Much of his work has involved replacing fragmented legacy systems with connected technology that is simpler to operate, easier to evolve and built to last. He brings the same pragmatic approach to AI and automation, knowing where they can materially improve a product or process, when conventional software is the better answer, and how to avoid unnecessary technical complexity.

At Prodro, Tom leads technology strategy, architecture and engineering across client work and Prodro’s own products, turning operational problems into secure, scalable and maintainable software.

What running the operation taught us

The advice is different when you’ve had to live with it.

That experience is why Prodro starts with the operation rather than the solution. It’s also why we’re willing to conclude that the answer is a process change, an existing product, or nothing at all.

Sometimes we build the answer ourselves

Where a problem is significant, recurring and poorly served by what already exists, Prodro builds and operates the solution itself. Grantary was the first. Three more followed.

What is taking more work than it should?

You don’t need to know what the solution is. That’s the point.
