Cookie policy
Every cookie this site can set, what each one is for, how long it lasts, and how to change your answer. Nothing is set before you choose.
01What cookies are
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store, so that something can be remembered between page loads or between visits. Similar technologies, such as local storage, pixels and device fingerprinting, do the same job by other means, and the law treats them the same way. This policy covers all of them.
In the UK, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations require your consent before anything that is not strictly necessary is stored on or read from your device. That is why you are asked, and why declining has to be as easy as accepting.
02Which cookies this site uses
Arriving on this site stores nothing on your device. The cookies below are set only after you accept analytics. If you decline, or ignore the banner, none of them appear.
Two features store your own choices in your browser’s local storage, and only when you use them: the checklist remembers what you marked so it can travel to the contact form, the calculator remembers your figures for when you come back, and the pause control remembers that you paused the animations. Nothing in local storage is sent anywhere unless you submit a form that carries it, and it is listed with the strictly necessary items below. The Process Opportunity Canvas keeps what you type in session storage, which your browser clears when the tab closes; it is listed below for the same reason.
Analytics: set only with your consent
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics, first party | Distinguishes one visitor from another so that visits can be counted without identifying anyone. | 2 years |
| _ga_… | Google Analytics, first party | Holds the state of the current session. The name ends with our Google Analytics measurement ID. | 2 years |
Two years is Google’s default lifespan for these cookies. Deleting them, or declining analytics, removes them immediately.
Strictly necessary
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
| prodro_consent | Prodro, first party | Records whether you accepted or declined analytics, so you are not asked again on every page. It holds one word and nothing else. | 12 months |
| prodro:obs | Prodro, first party (local storage) | Remembers which lines you marked on the homepage checklist, so they can be shown on the engagement page and sent with an enquiry if you make one. Stored only when you mark something. | Until you clear it, or clear your browser data |
| prodro:calc | Prodro, first party (local storage) | Remembers the figures you typed into the cost calculator, so they are there when you come back and can seed the Process Opportunity Canvas. Stored only when you use the calculator. | Until you clear it, or clear your browser data |
| prodro:canvas | Prodro, first party (session storage) | Holds what you type into the Process Opportunity Canvas while you work on it, so it survives a reload and can travel with an enquiry. Stored only when you type; never sent unless you send it. | When you close the tab |
| prodro:motion | Prodro, first party (local storage) | Remembers that you used the Pause motion control. | Until you clear it, or clear your browser data |
The consent cookie does not require consent, because without it we could not honour the answer you gave; after twelve months it expires and we ask again. The three local-storage items do not require it either: each holds only something you chose to mark, type or pause, is written only when you do so, and is read by nothing but this site’s own pages.
Not used
There are no advertising cookies, no social media embeds, no chat widget, no embedded video, and no cross-site tracking of any kind on this website.
03Changing your mind
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time, and it takes effect immediately.
Declining analytics does not reduce the site in any way. Nothing is hidden, delayed or degraded. We simply do not learn that you were here.
04Why we use analytics at all
We use analytics to answer a small number of questions: which pages people read, where they stop, and whether anything is broken on a device we do not own. It tells us whether the site is doing its job.
We do not use it to build profiles, to retarget you with advertising, or to identify you. Google Signals and advertising features are switched off, and the data is not shared with other Google services for advertising.
05Google as a recipient
Google acts as our processor for analytics data and handles it under Google’s data processing terms. Google may process it outside the United Kingdom; where that happens the transfer is covered by the mechanism described in the privacy policy.
Google publishes its own account of how it handles data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
